The Gift Shop (Shop) located in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre is owned and operated by the Colchester Hospital Auxiliary. The Gift Shop has been in existence for over fifty years and was the cornerstone of the Auxiliary fundraising effort in those early years.
Throughout each of those fifty years the gift shop has kept in tune with fads of the day and a quick visit to the Shop will confirm for you that is still the case today. The shop is no longer a place to stop in and buy last minute items for patient visits but has become a place where people like to shop to find those things that cannot be easily found in the surrounding area.
The difference with our store versus others is that it is operated solely by volunteers with no paid employees. All proceeds remaining after purchase costs are turned over to the Hospital by way of the purchase of Hospital equipment that cannot be provided through the Provincial Hospital supply system.
Stop in and see the wide array of items available to you. They range from flowers, to fine china, to dresses, other clothing, purses, ear rings, lighting, art, stuffed animals, cards, baby items and more. You don’t need to be visiting the Hospital to test our wares, stop by anytime and buy something you like and support your Community Health Centre.
